Hyperbaric for Autism:

The potential for results in hyperbaric studies as it affects autism is astounding, yet for some reason it is limited what you can say hyperbaric does.........The problem if there is one with hyperbaric is getting cooperation with the participant.  The typical hyperbaric environment is intimidating for most folks, yet for an autistic child it must be overwhelming.  Typical people can have issues with clostrophobia as it relates to hyperbaric. 

What we have done is develop a really large walk in, multi person hyperbaric environment that looks more like a play room or living room than a traditional chamber.  The plan is to make the environment for the autistic child less intimidating, more inviting, and work towards results.

We encourage parents to come and stay at the farm while their child is here.  We can actually consider treating a parent and a child at the same time.  This actually allows a battery of tests on the parent that are measurable.  The parent will likely be able to "see" the effects on their child, yet their results will be indicative of what is going on with the child.  This is powerful because we help the family get improvement as a unit.  It is a very powerful approach.
